Presets

Saved presets

Save a current Structure canvas as a reusable personal preset and manage it from Structure Studio.

Saved presets let you reuse your own planning patterns across projects. They are useful for agency standards, recurring product types, internal architecture, or preferred page structures.

Save the current structure

  1. Open Presets in Structure Studio.
  2. Choose Save Current Structure.
  3. Enter a preset name.
  4. Add an optional description explaining when it should be used.
  5. Save the preset.

The preset becomes available under the Saved tab.

Skafold saves the current visible planning model, including:

  • Nodes and their frame assignments
  • Node content and styling
  • Page hierarchy sections and global section references
  • Design metadata
  • Connections, relationship types, labels, and routing

Project-specific persistence metadata is removed, and reusable node IDs are generated for the preset.

Apply a saved preset

Open Presets → Saved, search for the preset, then select it.

As with built-in presets, applying a saved preset replaces the current canvas. Export or save the current structure first if it must be retained.

Edit or delete a saved preset

Use the actions on a saved preset card to:

  • Edit its name and description.
  • Delete it from Saved presets.

Editing a saved preset does not automatically replace its stored canvas content with the current project. To capture a materially changed structure, save the current canvas as a new preset.

Good saved preset candidates

  • A standard marketing site used across similar clients.
  • A headless commerce architecture with preferred services.
  • An authenticated SaaS shell.
  • A publishing or directory platform.
  • A reusable discovery workshop output.
  • A company-standard brief, page hierarchy, and technical decision set.

Avoid saving a preset that contains confidential client details or decisions that should not be reused.
